About the Center
“Fanous” Research Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, having obtained the necessary license from the Vice Presidency for Technology of the Ministry of Science, began its activities at Iran University of Science and Technology in 2023 (1402 in the Persian calendar). This center aims to bring together individuals who care about Iran and take a step—no matter how small—toward solving the country’s challenges. Mission
Fanous considers its mission to be team-building. Every advancement in this country has been achieved by a group of individuals. Each team, leveraging the resources made available to them, can address a specific national challenge. Our fundamental belief is that solving problems—even if it does not lead to tangible assets or immediate results—inherently creates strategic value for the country’s development and progress.

Who owns the intellectual property of the project ?
At Fanous Innovation Center, the ownership of intellectual property depends on the type of contract and the chosen path. In the acceleration and startup path, intellectual property is shared between the tech team and the center based on mutual agreements and co-development contributions. However, in custom corporate projects (such as R&D outsourcing or technology project execution for employers), upon final delivery and full financial settlement, all material rights and exploitation rights are fully transferred to the contracting company.
How is the payment process handled ?
Financial payments in Fanous projects are made based on the phased structure approved in the proposal and contract. Upon completion of each phase and confirmation of the progress report by the center’s technical supervisor or the employer, the corresponding payment is released and transferred directly to the accounts of the team members or the executing core. This approach reduces financial risk for both parties and ensures continuous project progress.
What guarantees are in place to ensure the confidentiality of project information ?
The security of information—including ideas, proposals, and corporate data—is one of the red lines of the Fanous Innovation Center. Prior to any specialized negotiations, exchange of sensitive data, or assignment of a project to executing teams, a valid and legally binding Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed among the center, the executing team, and the employer to ensure full protection against disclosure or misuse of commercial and technical information.
How long does it take from RFP submission to contract signing ?
This timeline depends on the complexity level of the technological requirement (RFP), but the Fanous Center strives to optimize the process. Typically, the stages of initial evaluation, announcement and selection of the appropriate tech team, joint expert meetings, and finalization of the technical proposal take between 2 to 3 working weeks. Immediately after the final approval of the proposal, the formal contracting process and the start of the execution phase will take place.
