? Who Owns the Intellectual Property of a Project
At Fanous Innovation Center, intellectual property ownership depends on the type of agreement and the selected collaboration pathway. In startup and acceleration programs, ownership is shared between the innovation team and the Center based on mutual agreements and contributions to product development. However, in company-sponsored projects—such as outsourced R&D initiatives or custom technology development projects—all commercial and exploitation rights are fully transferred to the client company upon final delivery and settlement of all financial obligations.
? How Are Payments Made
Project payments at Fanous are made according to the milestones and phases defined in the approved proposal and contract. Upon completion of each project phase and approval of the progress report by the Center’s technical supervisor or the client, the corresponding payment is released and transferred directly to the project team. This approach minimizes financial risk for all parties while ensuring continuous project progress.

The security of ideas, proposals, and company data is one of Fanous Innovation Center’s highest priorities. Before any specialized discussions, exchange of sensitive information, or project assignment takes place, a legally binding Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed between the Center, the implementation team, and the client. ? How Long Does It Take from RFP Submission to Contract Signing
The timeline depends on the complexity of the technological requirement (RFP). However, Fanous strives to streamline the entire process. In most cases, the initial evaluation, call for proposals, selection of a suitable innovation team, expert review sessions, and finalization of the technical proposal take approximately 2 to 3 working weeks. Once the proposal receives final approval, the formal contract is signed and the implementation phase begins immediately.
